- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Cook the San Giorgio lasagna noodles according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef and Italian sausage, breaking them into crumbles. Add chopped onion and minced garlic, cooking until onions are translucent.
- Stir in crushed tomatoes, diced tomatoes, tomato paste, oregano, basil, salt, and black pepper. Simmer for 15-20 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld.
- In a separate bowl, combine ricotta cheese, 1 1/2 cups mozzarella cheese, Parmesan cheese, and the egg. Mix until well combined.
- In a 9x13-inch baking dish, spread a thin layer of the meat sauce. Place a layer of cooked lasagna noodles on top.
- Spread a portion of the cheese mixture over the noodles, followed by a layer of meat sauce. Repeat the layers, finishing with a layer of meat sauce on top.
- Sprinkle the remaining mozzarella cheese over the lasagna.
- Cover the baking dish with foil and bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
- Let the lasagna rest for 10 minutes before slicing. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley and serve.
